Affordability
affordable DC: A Housing Strategy for Production, Permanence, and Pathways to Ownership
A comprehensive housing strategy to build 50,000 new homes, deliver 36,000 truly affordable units, and create permanent pathways to ownership, paired with faster permitting, stronger tenant protections, community land trusts, social housing, and targeted tax relief, funded through accountable public investment, office to housing conversions, and smart affordability reforms.
FARE-FREE DC: A VISION FOR MOVEMENT, OPPORTUNITY, AND SHARED PROSPERITY
A comprehensive plan to eliminate Metro fares for all DC residents — paired with investments in service reliability, frequency, and extended hours — funded through a sustainable and diverse revenue stack.
Opportunity
Capital Corp: A Pathway to Belonging, Service, and Shared Prosperity
A citywide civic service initiative that creates structured pathways for residents to serve their communities, gain education and job training, and build long-term careers.
Educate DC: Every Child. Every Classroom. Every Day.
A plan to get every DC student reading, cut chronic absenteeism below 25%, keep teachers in classrooms through real support and evaluation reform, and connect every student to a career pathway. Including universal dyslexia screening, expanded Safe Passages, an Advanced Technical Center in every ward, and public dashboards tracking results by school.
THE RISE ACT: TECHNOLOGY THAT WORKS FOR EVERYONE.
The most comprehensive AI and worker protection framework proposed by any city in America. When automation changes jobs, workers get 90 days notice, transition support, and a share of the gains. Every resident gets free access to AI tools at public libraries and career centers. Every student learns with AI in the classroom. Mandatory bias audits and algorithmic transparency so no one is harmed by decisions they cannot see. Grants and tax credits for businesses that adopt AI responsibly and share the benefits with their workers.
Democracy
DEFEND DC: PROTECT HOME RULE. EXPAND AUTONOMY. STAND WITH RESIDENTS.
A comprehensive strategy to protect D.C.'s self-governance from Congressional interference — pursuing statehood through every available pathway, building a standing Home Rule defense system, protecting residents from federal overreach, and advancing Super Home Rule reforms that put D.C.'s governing authority beyond the reach of any future Congress.
Sustainability
POWER DC: A VISION FOR CLEAN, AFFORDABLE, AND RELIABLE ENERGY
A two-track plan to lower energy costs, ensure reliability, and prepare DC for full electrification — deploying proven technologies like solar, biogas, geothermal, sewer heat recovery, and virtual power plants now, while building the clean firm power backbone for tomorrow.
Rat-free dc: ADDRESSING D.C.'S "RAT BABY BOOM"
A three-part plan to tackle D.C.'s rodent crisis through reorganized city services, expanded prevention measures like rat-proof trashcans and fertility control programs, and community engagement through a new "Rat Block Captain" program.
