Washington, DC residents deserve a government that works for them — one that is transparent, effective, and accountable to the people.

Too often, city government has been bogged down by inefficiency, poor oversight, and a lack of responsiveness and restoring trust starts with leadership that is open, responsible, and committed to delivering results that residents can see and feel.

Accountability isn’t just about preventing mistakes. I want to build a culture where every dollar is spent wisely, every service is delivered effectively, and every leader is answerable to the public.

Transparency and Oversight

  • Require clear, accessible reporting on city spending and contracts.

  • Strengthen oversight of agencies to ensure responsiveness and performance.

  • End backroom deals by making government decision-making open to the public.

Efficient and Effective Services

  • Streamline city agencies so residents get the help they need without bureaucracy and delays.

  • Improve accountability for agency heads and staff with performance benchmarks.

  • Use modern technology to make city services faster, simpler, and more user-friendly.

Ethics and Integrity

  • Enforce strict ethics rules for public officials and contractors.

  • Strengthen protections for whistleblowers who expose waste, fraud, or abuse.

  • Create a culture where public service means putting residents first.

Community Accountability

  • Build regular channels for residents to share feedback and track progress.

  • Hold town halls and listening sessions in every ward.

  • Ensure that community voices help shape budgets, policies, and priorities.
